We’ve already shown how to get rid of the old candle jars; therefore, we’d like to give you some suggestions for how to use the empty containers. Many of these ideas can be done with jars of candles that come with lids; however, if you don’t own one, cover the area you need with aluminum foil.
DIY Body Scrub Jars
Create your bathing scrubs by mixing one part of granulated sugar with two pieces of coconut oil and adding lavender essential oil, pure vanilla extract, or the other oils you enjoy. You can then scrub it off during the bath!
Make A New Candle From Old Wax
We taught you how to take out old wax in our previous candle tutorial, and you can remove all the polish and add it to one jar. Then, add a wick, and voila! You will have a brand new candle.
Add New Wax For A New Candle
You can buy wax from any craft store, melt it, and then add it to an empty jar. Then, add a wick, and you have a much cheaper new candle cost than one you can buy from specialty stores.
Add A Tea Light
Drop a tea light in the candle jar for an attractive visual effect that can be used indoors and outdoors. If you want to be imaginative, use the pot in a clear container and paint the glass before putting it into the light.
Liquor Glasses
Jars for candles are usually constructed of beautiful, thick glass that creates an excellent drink for drinking or other purposes. Get started collecting these jars, and you’ll soon have an assortment that will be a hit at the next dinner party.
Tea & Coffee Holders
Place your coffee or tea in a jar and on the counter to make it easy to access. It looks attractive.
Get the Last of the Smell Out
Don’t remove the wax, and put your wonderful scenting candle in the oven (but not the burner) on the windowsill during a sunny, warm day or on a mug to let the last of the scent out.
Pens & Pencils
Empty candle jars make great holders for pencils and pen pens. Place them on your desk and fill them with your favorite writing instruments.
Spare Change
