Keep cleaning kits handy
Cleaning kits are a great way to keep your home clean. They’re also a favorite hack for lazy girls.
A small cleaning kit should be kept in every central area of your home.
Your cleaning tools don’t have to be in every room. A simple cleaning kit could include a few disinfectant wipes, and a microfiber towel to deal with small messes when they happen.
You might find your children or spouse cleaning with these little kits. These kits are also great for speed cleaning when friends are dropping by.
Cleaning kits are kept in both my kitchen and bathrooms. My cleaning kits include a packet of disinfectant wipes and a container of hydrogen peroxide. My laundry room contains all of my cleaning supplies and backstock.
Use Hydrogen Peroxide to remove food stains from plastic
The spaghetti sauce turned the plastic container you used to store your food into an orange-colored splotch.
The hydrogen peroxide can be sprayed on the stained plastic and left to dry in the sun. The sunlight and peroxide will “bleach” the stains without using any harmful chemicals.
This can be done with your plastic cutting board. You’d be amazed at the things that you can clean with hydrogen peroxide.
Pantry items will keep your drains clear
Slow drains can be very annoying and can lead to major problems. This is especially true if your house is full of people.
Even if you try to keep food, grease, and other materials away from your drains, they can still collect buildup from any material that gets through.
Hydrogen peroxide and baking soda can be used to slow down the draining of your sink.
Make a slurry and pour it down the drain. Let it sit for 10 min.
Flush the sink with hot water for about 3-5 minutes after ten minutes.
During my spring cleaning, I do this for all my drains.
Pro Tip: Never run hot water through your garbage disposal. It will help to solidify the grease and flush it down your drain so it doesn’t get clogged up in your plumbing.

Use wax paper to prevent spots
Do you not hate water spots on your faucets after cleaning them?
After drying and cleaning the fixtures, use a microfiber cloth to polish them with wax paper. The fixtures are protected from water droplets by wax paper.
The same effect can be achieved with car wax.
Use rubber to remove pet hair
Cat hair, and especially pet hair, can be a nightmare to clean up. This stuff is everywhere and will not go away.
To remove pet hair from carpets and furniture, wear non-slip rubber gloves. The rubber friction pulls pet hair off the fabric.
This cleaning tip has saved my life. I have two cats. A good rubber squeegee can quickly remove pet hair from carpet and furniture as fast as any vacuum.

Use Dawn and Baking Soda to Remove Oil-Based Fabric Stains
Ever grab your favorite black blouse, and notice a dark spot in the front? Then you’ll remember that little piece of shrimp scampi you didn’t get to eat.
The butter soaked in and took up residence. What now?
Apply a little Dawn to the stain. Rub it in and then sprinkle 1 teaspoon of baking soda on top. Use a nail brush to scrub the stain. Let it sit for 15 minutes before you rinse and wash your hands.
Keep Yourself Clean
When you are done, clean up your mess. Clean up any crumbs and trash that may have been left.
You’re correct, and you should clean up any mess. It won’t be easier or quicker to clean up afterward, and it will help you keep the house clean.
You can think of dried egg yolk on a breakfast platter, and dried toothpaste on your porcelain sink. It’s easy to wipe it off in 3 seconds using a microfiber cloth. Or, you can spray it and let it soak for 5 minutes before cleaning it up.
It will be easier and quicker to clean it up right away. I promise.
Grab Broken Glass and a Slice of Bread
It is very difficult to clean up broken glass. It can also fly everywhere, especially if it breaks.
Large pieces should be picked up and thrown away. Place any larger pieces in a bowl or a container and then discard them. To pick up any shards remaining, lightly press a slice of bread on top of the broken glass.
To remove hard water buildup, use white vinegar
Hard water stains can be caused by a buildup of calcium, magnesium, and other minerals. White vinegar’s acetic acid attacks minerals and helps to loosen scale buildup, making it easier to remove.
It is especially effective for removing stains from faucets, showerheads, and toilets.
To get the best results, you need to allow the vinegar to sit for a few hours. Keep the surface covered with white vinegar for at least 24 hours to get the best results.
I soak my showerhead by placing a vinegar baggie over it. I spray the surface like the bathtub or shower door every 15 minutes, for about an hour, and then scrub it clean.
