Clean Your Bedroom Closet: Spring Cleaning!

Clean Your Bedroom Closet: Spring Cleaning!

This is an area we’ve mastered but never given any time to. Many of you are facing the same issues I have in cleaning and tidying this particular closet. We seem to have a lot of things, and we don’t have enough space, which is a significant aspect of the spring clean-up. It’s a constant reminder I’m stuffed with stuff and need to reduce it. Every time I walk into my wardrobe, I experience an overwhelming feeling. My closet isn’t a tranquil area.

Brace Yourself

Let me tell you now that this process will take some time. It will take a few more hours than most likely. You’ll beam with pride when you’re done and feel much better. Additionally, you feel a distinct feeling when you give away items that aren’t needed anymore. I often think that I’m likely to forget something or that I’ve paid lots of money for it, and perhaps I should hold on to it for a bit longer, just to be safe. However, that moment of just-in-case is never there (and should it do, my perspective is altered). Therefore, I’ve learned over time to let go of things that aren’t useful to me anymore and allow them to be donated to other people who might benefit from and appreciate them. It also helps me not to spend money on things that will end up being donated. What would be more prosperous if I said”no” to everything I contribute? Okay, let’s not get involved in the details. You are aware of the direction I am taking with this.

Clear Your Closet

The first thing we’ll need to do is take everything from the closet. Be sure to have a clean bed and an uncluttered space to accommodate the items in your wardrobe. If you are worried that you’re likely to have difficulty locating the area, you can make other arrangements in your area, such as an uncluttered dresser, a chair, or a clean flooring space. You’ll require it.

Therefore, begin taking sections by section rem, moving every garment from the closet, and putting them on your mattress. Naturally, I recommend this because of two reasons. First, it’s a large, flat surface that can aid in organizing your clothes, and second, it will be impossible to rest until you’ve completed this task (haha).

Clean Your Closet

It’s the actual physical cleansing of your closet. It’s which is surprisingly easy to accomplish. There is a space. Now, you only need to give it that magic touch. Closets seldom (if ever) are cleaned. If you’re wondering why your closet smells stale, It’s because it’s a place for old air and has carpets that are rarely cleaned. The smell wouldn’t be so appealing either. This is your chance to alter that. Therefore, start by spreading baking soda on your carpet and leave it there for about 15 minutes; this will help remove odors from the carpet.

When the baking soda sits on the counter, grab your stepladder and climb the shelves you cannot reach with your hands. Vacuum the stands, spray them, and clean them using the all-purpose cleaner and a microfiber towel. It is possible to clean hanger rods, too.

Finish by vacuuming the carpet, including the baseboards and corners.

To keep your closet smellin’ good, create your personal room deodorizer. Read this blog post to find out how!

Sort The Clothing

Take a deep breath. It’s important to know that this is likely the job’s longest and most challenging part. But here is where you’ll be able to feel the road. It’s your chance to get rid of the various kinds of clothes that aren’t doing anything more than cluttering up your closet. We’re just being honest.

Let’s take a brief review of this. Your clothes are hung in your closet or on a hanger that can be used to store an item of clothing that can be worn. Imagine your clothes as tenants and your role as the owner (sadly, you won’t receive the rent for this situation). You’re limited in space and want only the most desirable tenants for your closet (er, closet). If they’re decent tenants, you should keep them around. If they’re noisy or needy tenants who never show up to pay, let them go. Also, you can retain what you enjoy and let go of those you do not.

Organize Items You’re Keeping

Now is the time to move clothes that made it through the last hour back into the closet. In anticipation of this task, I’ve bought a few items to aid in organizing our closet. I wasn’t looking to overdo the expenditure since I’m trying my best to keep track of everything. However, there was some merit to my decision. Of course, it’s not required – but this is what I received:

I purchased a couple of essential clothing boxes from Ikea. I plan to store our winter clothes and sweaters (hoping we won’t use these boxes for long. Thank you and please, Mother Nature).

I also bought these awesome expandable drawer Dividers, which I’ll use to maximize the space in my most used drawer.

And I bought some excellent hangers – one for hanging ties, one for hanging belts, and a third for hanging blouses.

The method I used to replace my items was like this:

Similar things with similar items put identical kinds of things.

Color-coded items range from one end of the color spectrum to another, which will help you when you are trying to coordinate an outfit or search for specific clothing (if you’re looking for a red-colored top, it will be clear where to look).

Put items you don’t frequently need away from the way and wear things you don’t often use in the center (my dresses are more difficult to reach, and my jeans are easy to grab while keeping my eyes closed).

I’m not particularly picky about hanging the same clothes; however, I think they are more attractive. If you’re looking for your wardrobe to appear entirely professional, purchase the same hangers or color-label your hangers. We’re recycling the old plastic hangers and are planning to use the hangers in our basement for storage. Many people try to place their hanging hangers in the exact direction, and if you’re specific about this, it doesn’t take any additional time and looks nicer.
