Confession: My Favorite Vacuum Isn’t a Dyson

Unpopular opinion: doing the dishes is acceptable. There are certainly more exciting ways to pass an afternoon, but doing chores can be enjoyable and amusing. This is why I am naturally drawn to the pleasure of vacuuming. Nothing is quite as satisfying as observing the dirt and dust within the container at the end of a successful vacuuming session. I think the vacuum cleaner isn’t only an instrument for cleaning and taking care of your house but an opportunity to enjoy peace while tackling the to-do list.

As you can imagine, we’ve got many opinions about vacuums on Apartment Therapy. We’ve reviewed and debated voids of all sizes and shapes, and the idea can be said to mean it’s the case that Dyson vacuums dominate them all. It’s an accurate assessment since Dyson models are of high quality, look elegant, and are priced appropriately for their quality and status. My first time living in New York, I used a Dyson V6, thanks to one of my friends, and it was a great vacuum. It wasn’t my favorite. However, it was prone to stop mid-run and required a charge. It was not until a couple of months ago, when I moved into my new home and bought my vacuum cleaner, that I became enthralled–not with the Dyson, but with a Dyson and not with a Dyson, but my Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe.

This model has completely revolutionized my experience and made vacuuming as simple and enjoyable as possible without any hassles. How do I begin?

It can move with ease. It’s easy to carry. Shark Navigator isn’t as slim as the Dyson and can get in and around furniture and narrow spaces due to the swivel head that makes steering effortless. Also, there’s the crevice tool and two brushes. They are straightforward to use and fit into every crevice and crevice.

It’s mighty. I was somewhat shocked by the amount of dust the machine collected on the first day I tried it. My apartment was not clean, but I wasn’t sure it was so bad. The container said otherwise. Additionally, you can clean on hard and carpet floors quite quickly, and it’s double the enjoyment, in my opinion.

It’s solid. I’ve owned this vacuum for about six months now, and the vacuum hasn’t failed me to date. The suction power is the same as before, and it’s not stopped mid-run as it did with the Dyson. I appreciate the benefits of having a cordless vacuum. I do, however, like that I don’t need to be concerned about charging it up and that the cord is sufficiently long that it’s not a problem.

It’s budget-friendly. Seriously, you will not find a better price for the high quality. This may be an issue, but I do not think it’s worth the price. Dyson deserves the cost (at least not for a 20-something like me who lives in NYC). Ultimately, it is worth the extra cost for a better vacuum, which is sensible when you have pets or many household members.
