5 Minute Cleaning Jobs: Cleaning Hacks for Cleaning Fast

You can raise your hand if you want to spend time cleaning. Let’s assume that no one did, and you know what? I did not. So, I’m always trying to devise ways to increase the cleaning efficiency while also minimizing the time spent cleaning. I’m focused on cleaning hacks and methods to do it quickly and efficiently. That’s the topic we’re discussing today.

In this post, I’d like to offer five cleaning tasks to do while waiting while you wait for the coffee to be brewed or for the Zoom meeting to begin. If we use our time efficiently and fit into little daily cleaning tasks, we can save time. It doesn’t seem like we’ve cleaned, and our homes look more appealing. Therefore, let’s not delay any longer, and here are my five most-time cleaning tasks to keep your home clean in a flash.

Organize Front Hall Shoes

I do not know about you. However, my family removes their shoes when they enter the house and leave them on the floor. Many of us are guilty of this, and it creates a messy front look messy! If we had a perfect world, we’d all put our shoes in a neat line before entering. However, that’s not the case.

While you wait to see your tea boil or popcorn pop, please take a moment to arrange your shoes and arrange them neatly. If you do this, you’ll likely be able to see dust and dirt build up in the shoes. Keep a note of this and return to it when you’ve got more time.

Once you’ve entered your closet in the front, you’ll notice it’s more than just shoes arranged. Please look at the article I wrote on Clean and Organize your front Closet to meet every aspect of your front hall closet cleaning requirements.

Wipe Down Counters

Are your counters rough as… every time? Grease spills from coffee, sticky juice spots, and toast crumbs are a problem for everyone. Spend five minutes to clean the counters in your kitchen.

To quickly clean your counters, I recommend using one of my most well-known homemade cleaning recipes: One cup of drinking water and a tablespoon of vinegar, white or distilled, in the spray bottle. Give your counter a lovely spray, then wipe it clean using your preferred sponge.

Load the Dishwasher

Dishes, the least loved thing. It’s only beaten by washing. If you only have a few minutes before your Zoom meeting, make sure you take the time to put dirty dishes into the dishwasher.

If you take a few minutes in the day to tidy, it’s like it’s less of a chore. You’ll never need to wash dishes for the rest of your life! Okay, it’s a lie. However, they won’t be like they did.

To help make dishwashing simpler, I’ve created my top most loved dishwashing items. Look at my 12 Essential Products to Improve Your Cleaning Routine to discover what I have used to cut the time spent washing dishes by half.

Take Out the Garbage

You’ve informed your kids that they could watch TV for five minutes before bed. You could stand up and browse your phone or go for a run and haul your garbage away. Which one do you prefer?

If your kids aren’t big enough to be left home alone or in the bathroom, you can dump your empty bedroom and office garbages into the more considerable trash. Anything you can do to accomplish extra cleaning during those spare minutes gives you more time to unwind with an alcoholic drink (or two) when the kids are asleep.

If you have some time, think about cleaning the actual trash can. It will stop odors that are unpleasant from being left behind. There is a complete article about how to clean your Garbage Bin (Inside out).

Make Your Bed

I’m always saying that you should put your bed in the moment you wake to work in the morning. However, I’m sure it won’t always occur. Even in my house! Once you’ve risen and made tea or coffee, it’s possible to return to that bed you’ve been putting in order. It’s not the time to go to bed.

I’m not always ready to make my bed when I wake up. However, when I’ve put the water on my coffee for the morning, I’ll go back to the bedroom and put it together! It ties my room together, and it’s an enjoyable task to take care of early in the morning.

Are you looking for an extra reason to put your bed in order? I’ve got a piece to help you with five great reasons for Making Your Bed.

Spot Mop the Floor

I’m sure 5 minutes isn’t enough time to clean the entire floor. Perhaps your child spilled milk, and you have cleaned it up with the help of a paper towel to get ready for school. Maybe someone walked into your house wearing dirty boots, and now there’s mud all over the floor.

If you have a simple mop available, a couple of minutes is enough time to complete an area mop. There’s indeed no better mop that is easier to use than this one. Maker’s mop! Yes, It’s my creation, and yes, I love it!

Organize Bathroom Toiletries

Counters in the bathroom and cabinets are an overlooked part of cleaning chores. Although they’re not “as important” as vacuuming or doing laundry, cleaning the bathroom areas will improve the look of your bathroom.

It could be as easy as neatly placing your toiletries. Clean them thoroughly to clean the soap or shampoo debris from the top. They can then be arranged neatly on the countertop or inside your bathroom.

I’ve just published a brand new article about Bathroom Cleaning Secrets, so make sure to go through it when you are ready to complete your bathroom cleaning.

Go Through the Mail

What is the last thing that pops up in our mailbox these days, not junk mail, takeaway menus, or bills? Apart from the annual Christmas card from your grandma, most likely not. While you wait for your food to cook, go through that stack of mail that has been sitting in front of your house for the past month.

Recycle everything you don’t want. Then, put important letters in order, such as bank statements and bills. It’s good to have a specific place to keep them so they don’t get lost and don’t look messy.

If your emails are well-organized and organized, pat yourself on your back. You can also think about getting rid of your email by reading my article’s digital clutter—six Strategies to Handle Overly Many Emails.
